Our goal at Sarvodaya Farms is to provide farming and ecology education to our community, as well as beyond organic health-full produce of the highest quality. We encourage our community members to come join us as Volunteers. We are, however, still a working farm and have certain requirements of our volunteers to ensure that everyone has a strong educational experience and our farm tasks can still get done according to schedule.
– We work at the farm on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Friday mornings from 8am to Noon. Volunteers must commit to coming to the farm every week on the same day for at least 2 months. Having a regular schedule helps us keep track of who will be around when we are assigning tasks.
– Volunteers are required to bring their own hand tools. We can not provide tools for volunteers (too many have been lost under the mulch). When you come to volunteer, please bring your own hand pruner (suggested – good & best) and a harvesting knife (suggested).
If you can meet these requirements, please fill out the Volunteer Application form below.
